- Strengthen community-owned banks. Students provide workshops for leaders of community banks as well as add savings accounts and ensure high loan repayment rates.
- Teach financial literacy. Volunteers teach financial literacy and work with businesses seeking capital to develop a payment plan, and decide whether or not it is the right time to take out a loan.
- Consult small businesses. Volunteers find ways to increase income and resolve challenges of running a small rural business. Volunteers also help small business owners create savings strategies and utilize low-interest loans.
- Provide capital for loans. Every chapter raises $1,500 that is used to invest in the community bank. These funds are used to match savings accounts as well as low-interest loans. This ensures new businesses access to capital, access to education, as well as funds other community projects.
